Bass Tournament Rules


BASS TOURNAMENT OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

1. At least one (1) member of each team should attend the pre-tournament meeting at 5pm on September 27, 2008 at the Benton Civic Center.

2. Any unsportsmanlike conduct will result in immediate disqualification.

3. No alcoholic beverages will be permitted in boats during the tournament.

4. All boats must meet the state of Illinois Coast Guard regulations and H.P. Limits.

5. Boats must have kill switches and adequate live wells. Life preservers must be worn when outboard motors are in operation.

6. All lake rules and restricted zones must be obeyed.

7. Team members fish together. Only one rod may be used at a time. No trolling allowed.

8. TAKE OFF PROCEDURE WILL BE BY THE ORDER THAT APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED. FIRST APPLICATION FIRST TO TAKE OFF.

9. Only largemouth, Kentucky, and Small mouth Bass will be weighed. Bass must be 14 inches or longer in length and a limit of 5 bass per team. All fish will be measured on a flat bump board. NO courtesy bump One-Pound penalty for any short fish--one pound penalty for any dead fish--one pound penalty for each minute late--10 minutes results in disqualification. All fish to be released into the lake.

10. NO boats will fish closer than 50 yards of an anchored boat.

11. Protests must be filed in writing within 15 minutes after weigh in and signed by person or persons making protests.

12. ABSOLUTELY NO ENTRY FEES REFUNDED AFTER SEPTEMBER 19, 2008.

13. Two entries will be withheld from payback for polygraph. No entry accepted unless Entry Blanks completely filled out (incomplete entry will be returned) and accompanied by check or money order. Made payable to: Ainad Shriners Bass Tournament.

14. No fish will be weighed before 2:30 p.m. All fishermen must be in the official weigh in line within 15 minutes after last flight check in time.

15. TOURNAMENT OFFICIAL'S DECISION WILL BE FINAL ON ALL CONTROVERSIES.
